Having completed the GDD and received another round of feedback, this week we were able to begin the pre-production. Surely, our GDD is going to be iterated further - for example, the scope of our project might be still too large and we need to adjust it - but the basic aspects are set in stone. So, we had a team meeting where we were planning the making of the prototype this week. We have compiled a rough list of models we need to make, as well as animations for each of their states, each with a designated priority for the given week (idle, walking, running, and so on). We also actually began to produce some of the models in Blender, starting with our most important one that the player is going to spend the most time with - the protagonist. Our prototype is still in its early stages, but armed with a good plan now, we feel confident to have a rough playable made in Unity by the coming weekend and offer it for playtesting. A checklist has also been created for the initial playtesting on the programming side to ensure that the game is at least programmed and ready to be playesting by the alpha stage of development.
