As a group we further develop the game concept we had from last week. We had finalized the subworlds our game is going to have. What we have right now is a starting area which includes the tutorial area to introduce the player to the world and its inhabitants. That area is then surrounded by 4 subworlds: Mushroom Forest, Icy/Jungle, Desert,and Crystal/Rocky areas. We are planning to have creature variants for each region. We are also thinking if we want the player to gain abilities before they can reach certain parts in a region, yet we still need to figure out how to implement it in a way that the game can still be an open world for players to explore. Next week, we need to finalize the lore for weapons, how we choose to implement new weapons to the player in a balanced, fun and contextual way, and lastly how we are choosing what type of inventory system we’d wish to use.


We have started working on the basics for how we wish to implement our game such as basic controls and next week we plan on getting shooting mechanics as well as some types of models present in our gameworld.
